Short version: We collect only what we need to build your card and respond to inquiries. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your information with third parties except the infrastructure required to keep the service running.
1. Who We Are
Forje LLC ("Forje," "we," "us," or "our") is a California limited liability company operating the Forje platform at forje.net, including The Sigil NFC business card product and associated digital card hosting services.

2. Information We Collect
Card Owners (Sigil holders)
When we build your digital card, we collect and store the information you provide, which may include:

This information is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a distributed key-value store operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Your card is publicly accessible at its URL (forje.net/clients/[your-slug]) by design — that is the purpose of the product.
People Who Tap a Sigil (Get in Touch form)
If someone fills out the "Get in Touch" form on a Forje card, we collect:

This submission is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV associated with the card it was submitted on, and forwarded to the card owner's email address so they can follow up. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
Business Card Scanner
The Forje order form includes an optional business card scanner that uses AI to extract contact information from a photo. If you use this feature, your image is transmitted to Anthropic, PBC (the maker of Claude AI) for processing. The image is used solely to extract contact fields and is not stored by Anthropic or by Forje after processing is complete. We do not retain scanner images.
Website Inquiry Form (forje.net)
If you submit an inquiry through the Get Started form on our homepage, we collect your name, email address, phone number, job title, and any message you provide. This is sent to [email protected] and used solely to respond to your inquiry about ordering a Sigil.
Automatically Collected Information
Our infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may automatically collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, and page requests as part of normal network operations. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on forje.net, which is privacy-preserving and does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect strictly to:
Build, host, and maintain your digital Forje card and serve it at your unique URL. Forward Get in Touch submissions to the appropriate card owner. Respond to inquiries submitted through the forje.net contact form. Operate and improve the Forje platform and services.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, profiling, or any purpose beyond the service you engaged us for.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
The only parties who may access your data are:

5. Data Storage and Retention
Your card data is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV in Cloudflare's distributed global network. Cloudflare's data centers are primarily located in the United States.
Card owner data is retained for as long as your card is active. Get in Touch submissions are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Inquiry form submissions are retained in our email inbox and deleted at our discretion.
When a card is deleted from the Forje platform, the associated card data and lead submissions are removed from Cloudflare Workers KV.
6. Your Rights (California Residents — CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:
Right to Know
You may request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, and any third parties we share it with.
Right to Delete
You may request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions under the CCPA.
Right to Correct
You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
How to Submit a Request
To exercise any of the above rights, email us at [email protected] with your name and the nature of your request. We will respond within 45 days as required by law. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
Note: Because Forje does not sell personal information, opt-out of sale rights do not apply.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Forje does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics, used on forje.net, is cookieless and does not fingerprint individual users.
Individual Forje card pages (forje.net/clients/[slug]) do not use cookies or any client-side tracking technologies.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including serving all content over HTTPS via Cloudflare's network, restricting write access to card data using deploy secrets, and limiting access to personal data to authorized Forje personnel only.

9. Children's Privacy
Forje is a professional networking product intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active card owners. Continued use of the Forje platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
